well...i found out some more stuff about em....i have a seahorse and i have spent some time over at seahorse.org

a lot of seahorse.org members buy 'snicking' shrimp for their seahorses from 'George' aka 'noni'..apparently he breeds the perfect shrimp for most horses and ships them live....they are marine shrimp...anyway, i did confirm they are Penaeus vannamei....pacific white shrimp....the same shrimp noni/george offers....outrageous price i might add!! i just bought 10 for 2 dollars....they've been in for a few hours and my seahorse has grabbed a few but they get away...i think she needs practice....at the store i specifically asked for the smallest ones, but i got a few that are like an inch long....they are totally clear with a bit of dark spotting here and there....dark eyes....very active...i've already noticed them munching on some dark algae on my sand! yay!

i'm hoping they'll reproduce and provide some extra live food for my mandarins and chromis, etc...but i'd still like to hear from people about them

I've collected grass shrimp in FL for my horses, although not recently. Kept some in my fuge, the rest were horse fodder :D

Neat how they suck 'em up, isn't it?
