For your fish list, I'd go for the omnivorous varitey of both Formula One and Two. The extra algae content of Formula Two would satisfy the needs of the tang and blenny.

My Purple Tang loves the pellet form.

my LFS has actually tried to pursuade me onto a combo of Formula 1 and Formula 2 pelets. I said I'd give it a shot once my flakes go down a lil :)

The mainstay of the diet for my gilled buddies is frozen Ocean Nutrition. I use Formula 1 and 2 as the main course and suppliment it with the VHP, Brine Shrimp Plus or Angel Formula.

I also feed Ocean Nutrition's Seaweed Selects. My guys/girls are partial to the green, but will eat the red or brown if nothing else is available.

I use the pellets as a staple along with frozen mysis. I have used the cubes in the past and they are ok except they don't really dissolve too well and the fish end up fighting over the cube.

You should try to let the cube defrost in a cup. Break it up with your fingers before feeding it you your fish. That will make a big help.

I really like how Ocean Nutrition keeps their pellets in a foil pack. You can't tell how long some food's been sitting on a shelf or in the freezer.

Ocean nutrition is ai'yight, but Sanfransisco Bay stuff is awesome. As for flakes and pellets there is nothing better than Spectrum foods. This advice from someone who has used about everything on a slew of aquarium fish.

My personal recipe however is still my favorite. A little caulerpa, tiger shrimp (uncooked shelled), mysis, krill, brine, spirulina, ZOE, selcon/zoecon, Garlic extarcxt of almost any variety. Blend until a nice variety of sizes and you'll find it a very effective fish food. Of course I feed a little Sectrum pellets to let the fish have a wide selection of entrees.

I feed the frozen Formula 2 and Angel Formula most of the time. My King Angel likes the sponge in Angel Formula and everybody likes the algae in Formula 2. I thaw it first and then chop the cubes into small pieces. I also feed Formula 1 and 2 pellets. My fish go absolutely nuts over them. I mix Formula 1 and 2 pellets half and half, putting a small portion in a separate plastic "pill bottle" that I use daily so the larger foil packages can remained sealed most of the time. My LFS started me on the pellet mix, which originally included Spectrum. However I've found that Spectrum pellets do not sink as readily as Formula 1 and 2. I prefer the pellets that sink quicker so they won't go down the overflow so soon. I use the pellets in my vacation feeder when I have to be gone for a few days. Formula 1 (red) pellets sink the best, followed by Formula 2 (green) pellets.

I use formula one and prime reef. I thaw them out in a little cup of RO water and smash them up before I dump it in the tank.
