bubbles on snail shell?

there are these clear bubbles on one of my turbo snails. it seems to be only on this one snail in pariticular. sorry i can't post a pic, but i was hoping someone would be able to tell me off the top of their head what it is and what can i do about it to fix it(if i need to).

Any other details you can describe? Are these just air bubbles?

well it's only on one snail...and the bubble seems to be stuck to the shell, so they are not air bubbles. there are a lot of them

Is there also algae attached to the outside of the shell?

It could be one of many things and it's pretty hard to guess, unfortunately.

Can't you just take the snail out and do a "car wash" on it with a plastic brush :?
