Ok so I got my new linkia last week. Acclimated for 5 hours and all was fine. Its been looking great up until today.
Knowing this is a fragile animal I check it several times a day, even after lights out with a flash light.
It looked fine when I got home from work today. I sat down and watched TV for 2 hours, and when I got up I noticed a white mark on the tip of one leg. It had what kind of looked like a small bit of flesh or fungus surround it.
I was able to suck it off with my turkey baster to get a better look. Kind of a whiteish looking tissued. Up close it looked very thin.
What Im wondering is if "osmotic meltdown" occurs this fast, or is it possible this is a fish bite?
I have a Bi-color Blennie, Royal Gramma, 3" Black Trigger that only comes out of the rockwork when I feed them, and a 3" Lineatus Tang.
This linkia is 8-10" across so I cant imagine my tiny fish doing anything to it, but I really hope thats the case.
Thanks
