Just saw my cleaner molt!

I just saw my skunk cleaner molt! I've never seen them actually do it, I just find the shells! It happened with the moonlights on. Anyone else seen it happen? It just slowly slid right off.. at first it looked like the shrimp was dangling from a rock - I thought the bcs had nabbed it. Really cool.

I've never actually witnessed mine do it, though I find shells floating around all the time. Would be a cool thing to catch on camera no?

My pepermint did that last night, so did one of my emerald crabs. His claws almost doubled in size... I assume one should remove the shells from the tank? ..or do I let the other cleaner critters get at it?

I never remove the molts...they don't last very long.

I've seen them just as they have finished molting.

They seem really tender for a awhile and have a bit of a fit!

Amazing stuff.

The molts can break down into unwanted nutrients but it is minimal.
