I just bought the Lamotte test kit, I was using the Safiert but I figured I would try out the Lamotte just to see which one I like better. For someone who Has used the Lamotte test kit, I got a reading of 196 on the dropper which I am "assuming" is in ppm CACO3, am I correct in thinking this? I found a converstion chart on this site which says that 196 ppm caco3 would equal out to 11 dkh, which my old safiert test was reading 12 dkh so I am close I just wanted to make sure I reading the Lamotte correct. Also, there is nothing in my kit that explains how to read the dropper, is that the way all of the kits are or is mine just missing that sheet. I got the sheets on how to make total alkalinity adjustment for a pool but nothing on how to read the dropper to determine dkh, not that it matters I just wondering but thanks to the internet I got the conversion in 5 minutes, as long as I correct in assuming that the dropper is reading ppm caco3.

Thanks,
scott
