I have this exact overflow. I soaked mine in a solution of hot water and vinegar until the water cooled off, then I took a baby bottle brush, and shoved it into the overflow through the front side (where water enters the overflow from the tank) and pushed it through the u-bend. Once the U-bend is clear, it's a matter of simply rinsing it over and over and over again until the back half of the overflow is cleared out.

IMO, this should be done at least twice a year on these overflows, they tend to clog very easily.

It is tough job, and I used brittle brush on a floss so that I can pull/push with two hands. The vinegar is a must, otherwise, it is an impossible job.
