I have a 125g tank with the need to drop the temp approx 3 - 5 degrees. I already own a 1/5hp inline chiller. I know it is small, but with not needing to drop the temp much, I think it could work without having to run 24/7. Any input here??

Hey Dave, a 1/5 will pull down the temp of a 125 gallon (assuming total volume isn't much more then 150g) by more then 5 degrees. However, it will probably be on the majority of the time if you need to drop 5 degrees.

Right now I have my two 400w metal halides on for approx. 4 hours in the middle of my light cycle. They bring up the tank temp from 79 to 81 degrees. I am mostly concerned with minimizing the change during the brightest part of the day.
