I noticed this bubble insde my torch coral. I bought the coral as a very small specimen about 6 months ago. It has always seemed to do well, and has at least tripled in size. About a month ago I noticed this bubble in the middle. Just wondering what is up??

Is that the orifice? It may be a mass of eggs. I've never seen torches produce egg mass, but I have had shrooms that had that look about them prior to releasing spherical egg masses. But then again, it's been a month. I dunno :P

It should be said the colony looks healthy enough regardless.

Yeh Len, the bubble is right where the orifice was. I looked at some old pics. and the bubble has only been there a little over 2 weeks, not a month. If it is an egg mass, will it just float away or pop????

my torch has done that 3 or 4 times. each time the bubble just goes away. honestly, i dont know what it is.. but it seems harmless. it should shrink and dissappear in a week or so.
