So apparently I picked up a fiddler crab with the new LR. What is the concensus on them, should I pull it out or leave it in?

It will eventually die unless it can get regular exposure to air. They can not live totally submerged all the time.

You sure it's a fiddler crab? Normally they live in the mud.

I am not certain of its ID, but I believe it came off a rock from my wifes work at LFS and she says they have been getting fiddler crabs in alot. I will try to find it and snap a pic. Usually all I can see is its white big claw and eye stalks sticking out of the sand under the rocks.

Yeah the one huge claw that they wave around, usually a fiddler crab. Can't think of what other one it would be.

:) Ditch...IMO. Unless I know a crab is reef safe, he is removed as quick
as I can catch him!

Fiddler crabs only eat detritus but do not do well if forced to stay underwater 24/7.

They do make great food for puffers and triggers though.
