I ordered a Sequence Snapper (2400gph) and recieved a Sequence Dart (3600gph) today in the mail. I'm planning to use it on a CL for a 75g Reef with mostly SPS. My return pump on my refugium is going to end up flowing around 500gpm so it needs to be added to the turnover rate. I was going to run the Snapper through a Oceans Motions 4-way flowing to 2 large outlets at any time, the flow will be high but hopefully the velocity will be toned down.
My question is the Dart going to be way to much flow for the tank, will it be ok to valve it back some or will that generate more noisie and consume more electricity or should I send it back for an exchange. These pumps appear to lose alot of flow with just a small amount of head pressure.
