Ok if this was YOU, what would you do.

I'm trying to setup a frag tank. I picked up a 20L (not against returning it), which is 30" in length. TEK sells full hoods in 24" and 36" models. This will all be in the basement so not overly concerned about looks. What, in your opinions, would be the best way to setup this system? Should I get a 36" tank right away and just go with the 36" fixture (4 bulb in each case)? I guess I'm trying to look at the future and what fixture would be the most versatile when it comes to new setups (I would think there are more 24" setups out there then 36"). Also, any suggestions on bulb combinations? I know there are more T5 experts out there, so hopefully they can chime in before I do something stupid.

Also, there is the TEK and the New Wave from Sunlight Supply. The New Wave fixture is $100 cheaper then the TEK. Anyone know why, other then cosmetics?

Same as what I posted for, B, the nicest ones I've seen are wide and shallow. Easy viewing and topdown pics are a high priority if you're looking to sell some pieces. T5's may present a challenge in that aspect.

Because they get in the way or due to something else?

Being in the way is one thing. Also, there's a misconception with the heat advantage of T5's. Although they don't give off as much heat as MH, they need to be mounted a whole lot closer to the water. So, there's a lot less air moving in between them.

(I also don't really care much for how some corals color up under T5's, but that's just preference)
