Tunze Master DOC Skimmers

I've been reading about this via the Interzoo press release on Tunze's site ( http://www.tunze.com/fileadmin/download ... rzooen.pdf ).

I like the small footprint, self-adjusting (if it actually works) and it appears to me that it doesn't need any additional pumps to function (unless I read all the info for it completely wrong).

Anyone have any opinions or additional information on these things? I'm in the planning stages of a 600ish gallon system (200g-ish sump/fuge) and these would be very well suited for what I'm looking to do.

Apologies if this has been discussed already, I did search but found nothing relevant.

my lfs tells me it is for use in sump only and doesnt need more pumps. i dont know if it is out yet or at least maybe not in the usa. i am most interested in how the anti overfoaming system works, my worry is it looks like it needs specific water levels in sump.

In sump is what I'm looking for.

The (limited) literature specifies a rang of level in the sump (7.8-10.6"). I'm not too worried about that as my sump will be on the large side and will have auto top-off anyway.

well, the reefpac 200 has been in the states for almost 6 months...

The other skimmers i imagine will hit the mainstream right before or after Xmas. the pumps o the bubblemaster i was talking about are actually tunze's

I believe the Reefpac is nothing like the Master DOC Skimmers.
