Well, while not quite as mysterious as Len's tank. BTW... Sorry about the tank Len, the switchover has been made.

I bought this stinkin tank over a year and a half ago, and have been S L O W L Y been working on it with breaks for vacations and build-related injuries ( the hand  )
Any way, it's not spectacular yet but it will be soon.
Speaking for my wife, I can tell you she is SOOOO glad to have this done. See pics below for the reason why.

I still have a return pump noise issue.
I need to put the backing on the tank.
I am using a piece of black plastic that you adhere to your windshield by static. It is very dark and will peel right off when you need to take it off.

I also still have to construct the hood and mount my ballast. It just barely fits behind the stand, so I need to pull it out and attach it.

It's good for now though until I get the $$ to build the hood and construct the topoff system.

The net is holding loose mushrooms and other baby pieces of coral I found when cleaning out the old tank. I will affix them to the new cured liverock that I will get this coming week.

BTW... No comments about the Christmas Tree.. My wife loves Christmas and we only had it up 3 days before Christmas so she feels that we should keep it up the first couple weeks of the year to get our "use" out of it. 8O :D

Thanks Len.
For sure.
I have an idea in my head about what the final outcome will look like.
With so much vertical room, i am thinking of movin' on up!
I have already scouted out 2 -3 nice big pieces I want. It's fully cured and sitting in the some display tanks at my LFS. I was looking to get it this paycheck(Thursday).
He's in the process of moving his whole store to a new location across town, so I may even need to wait a little longer just to make sure his tanks have time to settle a bit and readjust.
I don't have any place to cure liverock right now that isn't subject to huge temperature swings, or I would do it again just for the fun of it.

Looks like you have a Viper for lighting. Is that correct? I have a 150 on my 25 gal live rock tank (farm animal drinking round thing). Couldn't keep it on my 10 gal nano because of heat and was scared to put it on any other tank because of "fall in" fear issues.

The light is a Coralife Aqualight Advanced Tank-Mount 150watt 14K HQI.
I had it over my ten gallon and it gave extremely good light but the evap was a pain.

I think the viper came after this one.
Although, I like the flexibility of the viper over this one.

Now I just wish the ballast was a little thinner. :)

And you live in :Daytona Beach Florida

I could understand that if you were further north. Its a bit cold in January and Feb to take our lights down. But in Florida?

Nice tank, the 30 cube Dewman
