I'm planning on changing over to one of the PFO MH/VHO fixtures, so could someone tell me how often one should replace VHO actinic bulbs?

Thanks,

I change them over every 8 months. I used to change them every year, but they drop off significantly after 8 months from my experience. As a friendly reminder, be very careful after you change your actinics so as not to bleach your corals. It might not seem like a lot of light, but I've bleached some corals when changing out old actinics.

do you keep the same timers they were/will be on immediatly?

I have 3 VHO lights over my system, I replace 1 every 4 months.

I guess what I am say is that each bulb lasts me a year, but my coral never suffer from new bulb syndrome.
