I saw a documentary about this problem some time ago, it's a major issue, I would think cleaning a lion fish would be a bit tricky, but hey, maybe it will take off as a delicacy, sushi !

I feel sorry for them like I feel sorry for zebra muscles, fire ants and Africanized Honey Bees...death to many and to all if possible...

Lol yeah I get that they are invasive in their non-native waters causing problems. But I also think they are cuter than zebra mussels, fire ants, and Africanized honey bees. I mean I am all for thowing a bunch of potassium in a lake to get rid of the zebra mussels they don't look so cute/cool.

Here's a picture I took after a Lionfish tournament in the Bahamas in June. The largest ones were cleaned and eaten. Either snip spines off with scissors, or denature them with a torch. Skin is ripped off with pliers, as with other tough-skinned scaleless fish. They tasted disappointingly little like lion. More like grouper, the chicken of the sea.

It's kind of a mix between bald eagle and florida panther.

That's a lot of money on that table.
