Are these fish a good idea (not together lol)? Anybody have any experience with them that could lend a little advice my way?

At least 20 gallons if you want to keep him in a species tank. Tank mates should all be adult or at least 2.5", and also very fast swimmers. Plan to feed him silver sides and live feeder fish.

Its a 30 gallon tank. I dont plan on haveing on having very many species if I get a predator fish. Probally just the classic clown fish in there with him. I have a 2 year old boy so it will be for him and maybe a snowflake eel. Will the fish eat my invertebrates?

I have a baby toadfish that I caught locally. Hes about an inch and a half long. He buries himself under the sand and just pokes his mouth out. Its like a game trying to find his new hiding spot.

Mine is doing fine with hermit crabs and such. I would stay away from having shrimp in the tank though.

30 gallons is too small for a Snowflake Eel. You're best off keeping the Anglerfish on its own IMO if you want one so badly. It will definitely eat Clownfish. They are very capable of eating fish that are even bigger than they are!

I don't think he would go after an adult clownfish if he's well fed. I do agree that they should be kept in a species tank if it's only 30 gallons.
