Mushroom- red discharge

New to reefing, tank has been set up for 2 months, all my other corals are doing fine. Could someone explain what that red discharge is?

Don't think its coming from the mushroom. Looks like red slime algae!

Thank you! That’s what i was thinking/hoping. Just wasn't sure because its only around the mushroom. Just got an ro/di in today, going to do some big water changes over the next few weeks.

Looks like red cyanobacteria. If it's just that one little spot try manual removal..small siphon might work. If not try red slime remover...usually knocks it out in one dose

I just had it last week. I siphoned it out and wash sand with RODI water then put the sand back. Only did top layer of sand.

Def red slime algae, try more flow and lighter feeding. Also they sell a powder that is reef safe that will kill it
