RODI sediment filter

Just got a 4 stage advanced RODI from Marine Depot. Got good RODI for about a month from 20 TDS to 0. Had this about a month and made 100 gallons of RODI so far before it got clogged up with no pressure or output. Sediment filter looks like it’s all clogged up in such a short amount of time. Is this normal? I live in Manhattan.

it can be your building pipes are old and full of sediment, causing the filter to exhaust so fast.
what was your pressure before clogging up ?

Probably but it’s not an old building, 20 years. Was coming in at about 20-30 psi. Then down to >5. Replaced the sediment filter, no change. Maybe my carbon filter is blocked up now too.

Replaced carbon filter too and all good. Pumping in at 40psi from the bathroom sink. I am just shocked these went toast after only a month and 100g made. My building pipes must really suck!!!

Its normal to have to replace the first two fairly often. Also if you have the dual tds meter the first reading is a baseline and when it creeps up (even when output is zero) will indicate when to change first two.

Thay are probably doing construction in your area .or replacing water pipes. It happened to me before.
