How long have you been involved with this wonderful hobby?

48 years. My current reef is 20 years old, and I have not added anything in over 5 years.

Thanks, Sure did… with a ‘chrome’ frame! Probably was 5 gallons that everyone thought was huge!

My father helped me setup my first saltwater tank (29 gallon) at age 5 in 1977.

I don’t feel so old anymore...30 years saltwater/reef prior was freshwater/brackish. First tank was a 29 tall with chrome framing and a slate bottom. I still have a 90 Odell for those who remember...all the glass is tempered and weighs a ton...

Current 215 gal reef DT up since Dec 2010, prior to that I had an 85 gal Tenecor flat back hex for a few years. Had fresh water tanks at least 10 years prior to that.

wow, that's a long lasting hobby! my Dad was born in 1962, your freshwater tank was even older than my Dad LOL

50 years. I started my still running reef in 1971. Freshwater since Noah.

I bought the first batch of blue devils imported into Manhattan that year. And they spawned.
