Editing a post on mentors/mentees made me wonder: what is a piece of advice you'd give to yourself when you were just starting out with this hobby?

I would invest in good equipment. You can always get a bigger tank and the maintenance required might turn people off. If you have decent equipment you can reuse/sell depending on what you decide to do.

think ahead so you wont buy anything you dont need, consider tank size before hand be very patience
