euro brace is cracking under pressure

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to fix a euro brace for a 72 gallon aga bow front tank (other than get a new one)

Do you have a picture, depending on the placement of the crack, you can sometimes silcone another peice of glass over it.

Standard AGA tanks don't have euro brace. Do you mean the plastic brace??

Like Cali said, I'm going to assume you're talking about the plastic since euro bracing a bow is almost impossible and none come from the factory with it. Pics would help a lot.

show some picture of the brace.some tank the brace isn't the strong part of the tank the mold is.or do what meshaefer said

im not sure what it is but its the black plastic thing that runs down the center of the tank and is attached to the trim around the tank

Contact the tank manufacturer & see if you can purchase a new top piece..

you can order new plastic from the manufacturer and replace it you have to remove all the silcone and clean it good before install new one ,you have to remove some of the water 1/3 to 1/2

Put a big bar clamp across the top to stop the brace from cracking more until you can get it fixed.

I replaced the center brace for my Perfecto 75 gallon tank (not RR).
What a PITA!!!! If I had it to do over I would have just purchased a new tank. The cost of the brace & silicone, the hours scraping etc. was not worth it.
I would not try to replace the brace w/water in the tank.
Think this out fully before starting this project.
