TBS live rocks and sand

Have anyone brought some Tampa Bay Saltwater live rock and sand recently? I was wondering how light the rocks are and if there is a lot of life in the live sand?
When is the bets time to buy?

Hi, I used their live rock and sand a few years back and was very happy. I don’t recall the time of year but if you reach out to them, they will let you know the best time to buy for maximum hitchhiker corals and the amount based on your tank.

I stocked my tank 2+ years ago with their rock. Lots of life, including hitch hikers you will want to be aware of. Luckily the two mantis in my shipment were out of the rock when I opened it but also had others that needed removal so I waited 90 days to move my livestock in.

Here is the rock after coming out of packaging. For reference that’s 100lbs in a 55g tank.

there rock is dense and heavy, not very porous..
its like cement. i heard KP has nice porous rock.
