How often Do Fire Shrimp Molt

I am now seeing the 3rd molting(thats a total of 3 exoskeletons) of my 2 fire shrimp(after the first goes, the second molts in a few days or a week) in about 6 months.
And, to top it off, my elegance has now "eaten" the molted exo-skeleton.
Just curiouos about everyone else's experiances.

I find that my fire shrimp molts after I do a water change, @ every 15-18 days.

actually shouldn't it depend on how fast their growth rate is? As in if they are matured they shouldn't molt as much anymore and when they are very young they molt very frequently.

ahh, so basically, the bigger they are, the less they molt.

It's so basic, and yet I totally missed it.

Mine do it once or twice a month as do my Skunk Cleaner shrimp. Dosing with iodine has some influence since crustaceans need it to molt properly.
