Bay Islands of Honduras - top scuba diving destination and cheapest place to dive.

i got my padi there for $276 with all included. if you go there you can take a plane to roatan direcetly and take a boat to utilla. real cool. you can get your own cabin air conditioned there for $62 a DAY. Real nice place.

roatan is nice i have pictures but i need to learn how to size them corectly.

I dive here on the NJ inlets. In the fall you see a lot of tropical fish that catch the gull stream. You can see queen angels, triggers, butterflies, grouper and damsels.

Just came back from a week of diving in Roatan (Honduran Bay Islands) Less than $1,400 for 8 days which included r/t air from NY, food, accomodations & all the diving you can handle. The dive resort I went to was Fantasy Island. Kind of rustic but had a great time, w/ all the shore diving you can do. Well worth the money. Also subscribe to Sport Diver, lots of info there on dive sites.

going to Tahiti in 15 days, i can put you in my suitcase, the best diving in the world there.

Just got back from Tahiti two weeks. Had some fun. Did 3 dives, it was good, but not great. I guess it really depends on the dive site and the island you'll be staying at. Have a great trip.

The only thing i can say is everything is expensive there. Each dive will cost you around $100.

East coast of US. North Carolina Morehead city. But realisticly you asked for shore dives. Which is never that great unless you live on a reef. which there are none within the east coast of the US. So that means you have to look for artificial reefs. ie sunken ships which no states has more sunken ships then NC. Its called the graveyard of the atlantic. But again shore diving really sucks on the east coast of the US. Visibility is usually poor. Because of sand and water tempertures are usually colder then deeper further out water. But if you where going to dive of a boat anywhere on the East Coast NC Morehead city is the place. I had the best time there everytime i dove. It was really wonderful diving. I would also have to say it is the best diving in the continental US. Hands down. Check it out for yourself. http://www.olympusdiving.com/ great shop nice people. great dives.

I heard of a place in Brooklyn you can shore dive and see tropical fish washed up by the gulf current. You can take a heli-flight there from downtown heli pad if you must fly :lol2:.

Not a shore dive (a short boat ride in pretty calm water) but the best east coast dives I have done are in the Florida keys. http://floridakeys.noaa.gov/visitor_information/welcome.html
