Got this from HOF. I probably made a mistake in the name. Anyway it rarely stays in one spot for long - lights on or off. Earlier today I found it on the side of the glass and was watching as it used its intake tube ( forgot what its called but it did have a jaw on the end ) to reach up for something on the glass - think it was going for those algae tufts - but it was just out of reach. All of a sudden it would convulse slighlty and with a mighty heave-ho contract its foot and body to heave its shell up, only for it to drop back down. I dont know if the shell was just too heavy or it was the current but after 15 minutes of watching it was still at it and I just left.

I have one that looks very similar. When I bought mine it was called a Persian Sand Conch. It's pretty cool. It's snout is soooo long, sometimes it looks like it's stretching out over 2 inches to reach hard places. It eats non-stop besides when it buries itself in the sand to rest or sleep.
