It seems I am unable to make them go away on my 20g Nano. I have some zoo's, Couple of Monti caps, couple of blue monti, etc. Will micro bubbles cause any harms to my corals? Thanks.
definitely coming from the skimmer.
you can try retro fitting a bubble trap, but that takes up some space.
i heard remora makes very good skimmers with bubble traps.
micro bubbles don't hurt anything, in fact I think they are a good sign of oxygenation in your tank, but if you don't like them, try some filter floss in your output.
micro bubbles will hurt your coral....as they accumulate on the coral (considering they stay on the same spot for a while), the coral will be exposed to air for a longer period of time than should be allowed.this overexposure to air will cause tissue to die off, possibly causing the demise of the coral.
Yea microbubbles suck. I had them coming out of my remora when i had it. All i did was stick a sponge infront of the part where the water came out and presto no more micro bubbles. I would have to go with a turkey baster and blow away all the bubbles in the morning.
