Not sure if anyone else has this issue but every time I set up a drip for my auto top off using a 30 gallon garbage can the drip stops after a couple of days. It seems that the knot i make to adjust the speed of the dip gets too tight. Anyone have a solution other than buying an ATO system with a pump? Is there a way to use that drip adjuster that comes with the Kent Kalwasser doser?

honestly, that kind of ATO system (IMHO) isn't the best, most reliable way. Think if something happened and the knot loosened or there was a back siphon created some way.

I would just look at an inexpensive ATO from autotopoff.com or something similar. I've heard nothing but great things about their dual switch model.

what I do is just use a float valve and put it in my sump. You can just open the knot all the way open and put a float valve at the output to wherever you're dripping it

I was considering doing the same thing. But making sure the line coming from the r/o container isn't too low down in the container just in case the float gets hung up. I'm thinking around 12" down from the waterline in the 32 brute pail?
