I find it is a lot easier to use the built in programs and then go into advanced mode and edit them manually. Once you see the syntax in the advanced editor it will make more sense.

It's set up online but I think its only intranet. I tried entering the codes in the manual but it says error on something pfx and repeats everything I put in I have 4.04 firmware vdm and wxm

Can you be more specific? What codes are you entering? and can you give a screen shot of the exact error?

i will do when i get home. in the booklet for the vdm there are codes for light under examples of advanced lighting. when i put them in the screen refreshes and ther error message appears in grey on top of the screen. i will take a picture later and post it. i have found some great codes and would love to put them in. reef central has some great stuff. i tried those also with the same response

A few questions. Are you using a VDM module to try dim something like an AI fixture through the serial port? or are you using the four 0-10V variable speed ports through either the VDM module or the Apex base unit?

When you copied and pasted code, are you sure the profiles were created first? It will give you an error if you're referencing a profile which doesn't exist which sounds like what is happening. To help in this case, I would need the answers above.

no, the profile states how often and how much it'll be dimmed. the code references the when the profiles are active.

so say i wanted my lights to dim according to profile 6 which had an on time of 10:00 and and off time of 20:00 i would make refrence to this in the outlet module set up?

In the outlet module setup, you would say something like
If Time 10:00 to 20:00 Then Profile6

In the profile6, you would can adjust the intensity or clouds, etc

Now is that under the blue led and white led differently in the outlet setup. Also when I look at the status page under blue and white led it says off for the profile.

I don't know about controlling the blues and white separately on the AI, because I don't have an AI. I'm sure if you lend me your AI fixture, I could figure it out though :lol2:

As far as I know, the status page only displays on/off for outlets, not profiles.
