I have three different clusters of 3-4 astrea snails all huddled together releasing what I think are eggs into the water! It looks like plums of smoke coming of out them. This is pretty crazy to watch and see them all doing in sync in different parts of the tank.

Is there anything I should do? Should I turn off my skimmer in hopes that some settle and actually reproduce?

Kinda hard to get a nice shot of them.

All the white stuff in the water is from them, I did a pwc earlier today and my water was crystal clear afterwards, came home a couple hours later to this.

Yeah... you should keep the snail porn to the adult reefing websites!

If it gets too bad, you can do a water change, but from the pics I wouldn't worry too much. Animals reproduce when they're happy (or when stressed, but we'll give you the benefit of the doubt), so this probably means you have excellent water quality.

My astrea snails reproduced about 7 times in my tank but I have to say, after seeing a sh*t load of tiny baby snails everywhere, a few months later, I would only have maybe 5 "teenagers" left...and to date, none. ???? Wth man? Lol! Other than cyano outbreak from time to time, water parameters are pretty good. Go figure.

Whenever my stomatellas, astreas, or margaritas do this, i turn off the pumps so that my fish catch less eggs. My mandarin goes crazy when they spawn. I always have dozens of minuscule astreas and margaritas on my lr. The baby stomatellas always wind up in the sump. If you have the time and patience, when cleaning your filter sock or floss, look for the baby snails. I always find a few in there. And here's a cigar. !
