so fish is eating again and stopped its crazy behavior of swimming frantically but i now notice a small red dot under its dorsil fin.not sure if it hurt itself swimming in a frenzy or a mark from not eating in a couple of days.the good news is it is eating once again.anyone know what the red mark might be from.its in the upper area close to its face but under the fin.thanks

Yeah it might be.hopefully its just bruising from the crazy swimming.i figured if it was a bacteria infection it would have been a marking by its abdomine.just in case anyone is wondering about this fish please be advised they are very sensitive fish.he was a great find.when i picked him up he ate like a pig ate the lfs.when i brought him home it didnt eat till 4 days after it was introduced to my system.the way i got him to eat was to feed all the fish there normal diet of mysis and cyclopeeze.then i turned off pumps and dropped in a half a cube of bloodworms.all the other fish were full from the food i gave before which gave him ample time to start picking.i did this for 4 months straight then i went and started mixing with all the other fish foods still shutting down pumps and it started to feast with other fish.the funny thing is the other fish dont grab the blood worms they seem to let the copperband eat that by himself.3 years later and he seems to be happy besides this latest incident

My copperand exhibits the same behavior on occasion. I'm not 100% sure why. Once, he did it for like 4 days straight. He seems to do this when stressed for whatever reason. I just put a couple of new fish into the tank and first thing he started doing was circling the powerhead. I've never actually seen him eat. I see him pick at rocks on occasion but never really have I seen him go after something I put into the tank. I will say that I do NOT have an aptasia problem after adding him. Goodluck with yours. My guy is by far my favorite fish in my tank.
