This the best pic I've been able to take. I have no idea what it is, but I do know I need to get rid of it. It is spreading and it took out one of my tini SPS coral.

It appears flat, kind of a mustard color it is on 2 different rocks and on the one rock it actually jump on to the plug that my Tyree Green Leather is on. It it seems to have tried to climb the leather's trunk, but I haven't seen spread any furthere up.

So what is it and how do I get rid of it? It is the golden mustard looking thing in the center of the pic above the cap. The raised bumps was the pretty green
SPS.;(

I was afraid of that....................

Now how do I get rid of it??? Do I take a chisel and hammer to the rock it is on? I imagine that if I scrape it off it will just grow back.:irked::irked::irked::irked::irked::irked::irked::irked:

You can take a chisel to it, but don't try to get it all off at once. If you really damage it, it may RTN, which is what you want. So I'd try to smash the surface of it with a blunt instrument, making sure you crush the surface of the coral.

Another option is to put glue all over it, it should bleach/RTN.

Hitting it with kalk isn't going to work, it doesn't have any surface tissue to inject it into, so all that kalk is going right into your water.

If you just keep scraping the surface with a knife (being careful not to dislodge any of it onto your other rocks) you can probably kill it off.

Thank you Josh!!!! You know I have enough glue for the job.

Josh, any idea on how to get it off of the toadstool without damaging the toadstool?
