found on the beaches of tampa this week

can anyone id this found on beaches of tampa and let me know if it can be used in the tank, these are sponges

Its hard to tell from your pics, but if they are in fact sponges and they were exposed to air for too long, they will most likely die. You might want to reconsider putting them in your tank. Its probably a good idea to set up a seperate tank for them and see how they do.

washed up on beach

i assume they are dead from being washed up, would nt harvest from ocean i think thats illegal. just wonder if they will be able to be used as a decoration or will they rot in a tank, currently in an isolation tank

I wouldn't put the sponge in my tank. FYI the first pic in your other ID thread looks like agardhiella tenera algea. Its found all over the east coast. Follow this link to the bottem of the page. http://www.manhattanreefs.com/forum/reefs-magazine/46421-local-collecting-tri-state-area.html.
I'm not so sure about the other stuff. Possibly a Gorgonian in the mix.
