acan melting ?

why does it seem like the acans just melt away sometimes is this normal? anybody have the same problem?
my water is good have not change anything just seem like when they really get growing bam then they start melting away?

i use to have really nice acans but in the summer my temp in my tank reaches to much for them and they would melt

temp is 79,and running 6 bulb t5 for 9 hours

how about temp sal nitrate flow?

I have read that softies (leathers) may cast some sort of toxic net? I think that's how my trach died actually...I have a big sarcophyton...but I am not completely sure.

do you have them to close to the light maybe.or to much flow on them..vey weird sorry your having this trouble.

sorry for your coral lose.i have some acans i do notice from time to time a head of my acan would melt away.not the whole colony though.is it happening to the whole colony?if it is i would check the phosphates with a hanna meter especially since all other par come up normal.phos is a tricky thing to test for
