Hi, I am currently setting up a culture of Tetraselmis. My question is what makes cells settle to the bottom?
I have 100mL culture inoculated into 1L f/2 media, kept at 26 deg celsius. The cultures look healthy and green, but after about two days of culture, many seem to be settling at the bottom of the beaker. I doubt the reason for them settling is because they are old cells. Could someone help me?
