How do you keep your 30 cool in TX? I have a 30 with 2x96 PC also. I would like to add maybe a 75 (if I could find one) or 175 watt MH to be on for a few hours when I am not home. My tank is in our living room and my wife will not tolerate more light. We keep our house at 78 during the...

This will really piss you off. This october I flew continental Atlanta to Newark. I was in the last seat on the plane. The company is bleeding money and they give me a Sam Adams for free. Thats not so bad but it was in a bottle.
For a two bulb setup I like one 10000K and one true actinic.I haven't tried a super actinic yet but tried all combos of 10000 and 6500 with med blue and true actinic. My pavona seems to grow faster with the 10K but it just may becoming more acclimated to my tank.

Why do you want a key hole limpet? I have a flock of limpets in my ten they are about 1/8 of an inch big and shaped like small volcano's. Are these what you are looking for?
I have pulsing xenia in my ten and my thirty. Lighting seems more important than current. The ten has one 32 watt PC and one 15 watt NO. The thirty 2 x 96 PC. The xenia in the thirty is small and bushy and pulses like crazy. In the thirty it is also reproducing like a weed. Frags from the 30...
I have a sumpless 30. I don't have any problems keeping the sand bed clean. I am not sure why. I have a large brittle star that will rake the sand at night. 30 hermits and a blue devil damsel that is constantly stirring the sand with its tail.
I got mine from PA. It is the square pin. http://www.premiumaquatics.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=PA&Product_Code=PC96W-TA&Category_Code=PCbulbs
My 30 and 10 gallon lasted 9 hours with one battery operated hagen air pump each. A battery pump is pretty cheap insurance but it is only good if you are home.

I asked the same question on reef central. The consesus including Eric Borneman is that the stalks are sponges. The blue 'shrooms are pretty nice the biggest one is about 5 inches in diameter when fully expanded. It is also the permanent home for my tiny tomatoe clown.
