there is this thing for a lack of a better description in my reef tank. it is on the side of some live rock. it is red and hard with bristle like hairs protruding from it. if anyone knows what this is or could show me a picture to see if it matches i would really appreciate it. amanda

same thing happened in our tank.........madarine got really skinny to the point where the body concaved after the ribs. but yes he has passed away as like yours. i think we came to the conclusion that he was cinanide caught. if that helps amanda

Have a 4-4.5 at the most adult choclate tang. WHat is the minimum tank size you would feel comfortable putting him in?

The tang has the coloration of an adult and is still only 4.5 inches long. I also did look this fish up in a book at the fish store and saw that this guy startes yellow and matures into these rich brown/orang/yellow colors. anyway this is done and over the fish is happy and he is beautiful. :lol:
