  1. which one first sump or skimmer?

You'd have more room for a skimmer and return pump with a 20g. The 20g long is 10 in. longer than the 10, and 2 in wider. However, depending on the construction of the stand, you may have a hard time getting a 20 in the stand. I have a 20g sump under my 75, but I had to put it in the stand from...
  2. LFS In Nashua, NH?

I think this operation is out of a house in a residential neighborhood in Nashua. I don't think they ever opened a store. If MattM checks this thread, he knows more about this than I do.
  3. How to judge a good marine salt? Any merit to this??

Very interesting site, however, I tend not to take much stock in data provided by a manufacturer about the competition, particularly when I've never heard of the product.
  4. AquaC EV120 STILL NO FOAM!

Is the output above the water line? Have you checked the water level inside the skimmer? I have the same exact setup. All valves wide open and it works fine.
  5. Whats is your favorite and most reliable water test kits?

Well, sorry I didn't vote, because I use different 4 different kits. pH - Aquarium Systems Alk, Ca, Nitrites, Nitrates - Tropic Marin. Seachem (Ca) Mg - Salifert If it sounds like it follows MattM's recommendations, it's probably because I bought most of the kits from his store. 8)
  6. Buying RO/DI water

My RO/DI unit is now hooked up and doing well. My point when I started this thread was to make sure you know what you're buying.
  7. Buying RO/DI water

John - hard to tell. I can't see where it comes from , just the plumbing. I would assume it's from a resevoir.
  8. Buying RO/DI water

The RO/DI water station at seaworld is self service. You put the hose in a bucket and open the valve. I collected some of the output water in a (clean) plastic container and checked it with my meter. The meter is brand new, and the Aqua Addicts water measures 4ppm. Distilled water from the store...
  9. Buying RO/DI water

ohthelies - yes I was refering to Seaworld. The other store is Aqua Addicts on 38. They have been having trouble with their RO/DI unit so they don't always have water available. When they do, it's a good deal. $1 for 5g. Next time you're at Seaworld, ask them to test the water for you before you...
  10. Buying RO/DI water

Tangir1 - This is absoulutely the worst store I have ever been in.
  11. Buying RO/DI water

I ordered a RO/DI unit that I plan to hookup this weekend, however, I needed some top off water to hold me over until I get it connected. There are two places in Salem NH that sell water. One of them was having problems with their unit and didn't have any. The other one (for those of you in NH...

  13. MACNA 16 INFORMATION

What does 'Exhibits only - free until August 10th' mean? If this is open to the public do you have to register to see the exhibits?
  14. new and improved way to keeping reef or not

Let's see. What I spent - $2K What I got 75g tank, stand, canopy, 110w pc light fixture, 200# sand, salt to make 100g, 40lbs LR, protein skimmer, 20g tank for sump, Mag9.5, Mag5, lots of good advice. I have added a refugium (algea scubber?) and upgraded the lighting and I still didn't hit 3K. 9K...
