    I just found that right after I read the thread, had never heard of them before. Apparently the eggs can lay dormant for a little while, then they hatch mate and die. You must have gotten some rock some eggs on it, and just now they decided to open up. The larvae feed on detritus and algae, so...

    I picked this guy up at a local LFS because he looked cool, he's been in my nano tank for two weeks now and doesnt appear to be hurting anything. I was just wondering what kind of crab it was. He is bright orange with one huge white/purple claw.

    Thanks for the help guys. The majano is seated pretty well in a bed of star polyps, I gave it a mouthful of Kalk and it went away for a few days, but it is slowly reappearing. I will probably have to order some Joe's Juice as there doesn't appear to be a good way to just pop it off.

    http://www.livingseaaquarium.com/ This place is in Park Ridge, and they supposedly have more species of fish/inverts than the Shedd Aquarium in house. Even if you don't buy anything its worth going just to look around. There really isnt and need to mail order unless you are getting a TBS...
