I am on the search for a new skimmer. I located a used Geo NW8X28 Needle wheel skimmer for sale. Im just wondering if anyone uses Geo and a review of it. I cant seem to find much about them online. Also how much a unit like that goes for or is worth with a sedra 9000 pump.
I want to hook up 2 tlf phosban reactors (1 phosphate, 1 carbon) and my UV light (Emperor Aquatics 18 watt) to 1 powerhead. I figured good place to put the uv b/c the flow will be way slower then my return. I keep hearing this idea of "daisy-chaining" the reactors. What exactly does that mean...
Thank you all for your responses. Im glad I asked b/c a employee at local lfs said I def need a cover and if my tank has no center brace to lower the water level and pry off my current top rim and they will get me a new one with the center brace. I was like yea... I think I will go another...
Sorry to hijack.... but I'm wondering what if your sump is too tight which is seems richardhmc's space is probably like mine or most with the space the skimmer takes up and what not.
Would it be beneficial to instead of extending the refuge, get rid of the lil 5 gal section and connect another...

I have a older 75 gal without the center brace. Its a basic 48x18, but any glass top I can find comes in 2 pieces and states center brace needed. Anyone know of product I am missing?
