What is the best, most eye appealing was to structure a 29 gallon. I am not happy with my current design, i carefully placed the live rock to make a wall. But this look boring an i don't have sufficient area to place new corals. I was thinking about using PVC pipes and maybe egg crate and zip...

Cause i am thinking about going FOWLR on a 75 gallon that i have, going to be buying some new equiptment, so i thought i would research the pro's and cons for a UV sterilizer, i dont want my tangs to be covered in ICH! :oops:

What is the best UV sterilizer, are they even worth the effort? Which is the best way to plumb them to tank? Does anyone have any links to reviews on UV sterilizers? Thanks :lol:

Do you guys think it would be ok to run a pump, then UV sterilizer, then the SCWD. Would there be any detrimental harm to any of the components pump, UV, or SCWD in a set up this way? :roll:

Would the mairne goop adhesive and sealant found at HD, be good for gluing rocks and coral? Cost is like 4.79 for a tube. Thanks 8O

those dummies at lowes did not know what the heck i was talking about, i had to search for an hour but i finally found it, the info is accurate here about 9 bucks for a 4' x2' sheet of it.

Best paint for background? Should i use flat or gloss, latex, oil or enamel. I would like something that could be removed if it needed to be. Thanks :wink:

I have completed my fuge for my 29 gal. reef. It is an old crappy 29 gal. that i had an oscar in. I made three sections, protein skimming in the first, then come s the fuge part about 14 gallons worth, with a 1 inch pleneum, egg crate, CC and then some Agra-Alive Reef sand, 4 inch sand bed, then...

Could you use a commercial Mag Supplement, instead of the homemade one, that way sulfate would not be out of wack?

What do you reefers think about the use of the Bio-Wheel on a Pengiun 270, i am just using the filter as a way to run extra carbon and phosphate sponges from time to time. Would it be helpful or harmful to leave the Bio-Wheel on. Thanks :lol:
