Did you get the BM setup yet? I'm using this doser and I LOVE it. You can start with 35ml/day spaced out over a 24 hour period which = 35/24 = 1.45ml per dose. This is where I started and you just keep checking and adjust accordingly. Good luck.

One last question, is there a way to baffle it while the tank is running?

Hmmmmm, so if I understand you guys correctly, I have basically 2 options. 1) Change sump to baffled version. 2) Get an external skimmer. Right?

No, sump is not baffled but I keep the water level within the limits of the skimmer. I'm really confused with this one.... I should be filling up the cup over the course of a week but I barely get anything in it and the skimmate I do collect doesn't smell rank. It smells like normal algae...

Hi everyone. I need some help on skimmer recommendations. I have a 150G SPS dominant reef tank and I'm having issues with skimming. Tank has been running for roughly 6 months but I can't get rid of diatoms. I "upgraded" my skimmer from a ASM G2 to a Super Reef Octopus in sump but this thing...

Don't assume your temperature probe is secure in the tank. Check it and then check it again. Then once more for good measure!

Here are some pics of mine. Maybe this will help. This next pic is the water out. The last stage is the DI piece. You can either make just RO in which case your water out comes from the RO membrane or you can make RO/DI and the output comes from the last stage pictured here.

Not to hijack the thread, but I'm relatively new to the hobby. Where is a good place to get SPS? I have a store locally here in PA, but they only seem to carry ORA. Not that ORA doesn't have nice stuff (they do) but I just don't want an all ORA tank. Where do you go to get nice SPS?
