Saturday update: Yesterday I bought and hung a Deep Blue 9W UV sterilizer. By the evening the water was looking a little clearer and the smell wasn't filling the house anymore. To answer a question, no I don't have a refugium. And I did see the cuke alive and happy (hard to tell) last night...

Update: thank goodness for the internet. A little research seems to confirm that its a bacterial bloom. I just ordered a UV sterilizer overnight from Amazon and hope that helps to clear it up.

I'm not carbon dosing, I use a phosban reactor for phosphates. Bacteria would explain the overactive skimmer. Whats the solution?

I thought about that, and I actually couldn't find him when i scanned the tank. The fish don't appear distressed though, and I'm not sure a cuke nuke would cloud the water so much.

When I added clove polyps and pipe organ, they took almost a week to start opening up. Same for GSP. I'd say give them a few more days and don't change location. Every time you move them it delays their opening.

I found this hitchhiker growing on some live rock I added last month. I already got rid of 2 aiptasias, but this one looks very different. (It's the center of the photo, to the right is a duncan.) Thanks for any help IDing it.

Just this week I purchased from WorldWideCoral and from SoCalAqua and both arrived with no problems. They ship priority so it is delivered before 10:30 am and they put heat packs in the coolers.
