Why would you use NO lamps if you have a VHO ballast? The difference in price for lamps in tiny. Is it the electric bill?
If you plan to use NO bulns you don't need to spend the extra $ for VHO ballast.

I have a 50 gal tank. 48 long x 20 deep x 12.5 wide.
I'd like to keep a varity of mushrooms & leathers & perhaps one or two anemones.
What kind of light do you think I will need.
I was thinking two 110w VHO would be good enought since my tank is not so deep.
