I recently did this dive with a Sealife DC 1400 with strobe. I wasn't too happy with the shots. I dove with Sandwich Isle Divers and Pacific Rim Divers. If you head to the big island, I'd suggest staying out in Wikaloala at the Marriott or Hilton rather than staying in Kona.
