How many of us dive?
I've been certified for two years with around twenty dives, AOW, and a couple specialties. I've had a blast in the New River. I've only been diving in Florida once. I'm planning on trying some nice locations once I get out of school. I could have taken a couple nice dive trips down south...- evincent

Anyone uses Aquatic Lighting System ballast?
thinhvu, That price sounds to good to be true. I don't know but I keep reading that you get what you pay for. I just ordered a 250 MH retro kit with 10K bulb for $270. It has an electronic ballast. Thanks DrewCho. May I also get some MH vs VHO advice for my 40 breeder? I want to have both, but I can only afford to start with one. Then I'll upgrade my DIY hood in a couple months. metal halide lighting for a 50 gallon
I'm a little fuzzy on using one MH on a 36 inch tank. Isn't one MH recommended for every two feet of length? Will this result in the ends of the tank being dark? Is this why VHOs are also used with MH? Can this be accounted for by going up to a 250w or 400w MH? Any advice from someone with...- evincent
