You close to flushing, NY? Fishtown on northern boulevard has them for $3.99 a lb.. in terms of coralline algae growth and other stuff on it, it's kinda bare.. so you could either use it as base rock or if you have existing rocks with coralline, you can seed these.. nevertheless, they should...

I have a corner tank and wish i had done the sump. Maintenance can be a bit tough with all the hang ons... my snails have also laid eggs a few times on the aquarium glass... most often, they didnt survive the night. you could probably use a cardboard cutter knife and scrape it off the glass and put it in a separate holding area, but i don't think it's worth all the hassle.. i also have bumble bee...

  11. Algae eating critters question?

I agree with krullulon, my turbos are awesome at eating algae, they work constantly. the ceriths and bumble bees lounge around most of the time. but, who can discount the beauty of the bumble bee snail..=P the nassarius snails are great at turning the sand around and keep algae from tank a foot...

  13. Damsel rubbing tail in blennies face?

i have yellow tail damsels and an algae blenny in the same tank. the yellowtail and blenny used to get into fights all the time. same thing, territorial issues. the blenny would be sitting on a live rock and the yellowtail would come around and try to nip it or flip it's tail in the blenny's...
