Chemically, to get the most out of kalk, 45ml is ideal. I used to do this as well. I ran out of vinegar one time, made up my kalk the old fashioned way, and saw no change. So i just didn't buy vinegar anymore for kalk.

hehe, its because i found that zoo laying on the sand in my 10 gal nano and thought, hey this would be a nice start to a new colony in a pico!!! I also had 1 polyp of a xenia in there, but haven't seen it in a few weeks. I imagine if its not stuffed under a rock it will popup eventually. :D
