ok so basicly its a bacteria that consumes all 3 parts of the cycle aerobicly.
one wonder that springs to mind is if this a safe method why does this type of bacteria exsist on live rock.
but i guess you wont do into details about the this "new science" but it would be intresting to know...

ok first claim that makes no sens:
you say it removes surface oil but for anyone who has used a air pump in a small tank will note it removes...
pls exsplain how this works and how you induce that type of cycle?
but even if you can keep waste low enough for that many fish the choise of fish is still not the best surly.
imo you put your wants over the health of the animals you keep, but thats just my opin

dont give up on the crab yet. they will shed thire skin every now and then. when they do this they will become inactive for a few days or so. he could still be in the shell hiding because his skin will be soft. it its amazing how real looking molts can be. if he isnt in the shell he may have...
u may have trouble getting him out of the pvc tube as he will of attached his tube to it most likely. be very carefull when u remove him from the pvc tube as the tube he lives in is very soft and will tear if u pull on it. I have found hermits do tend to like the taste of the worms tube for some...
