    i had the same problem and siphoned out my whole sand bed, now i'm using a bare bottom and absolutely love it. just vacuum up the detritus and you're done!

    i never feed my sps corals, i don't have a dsb either as dsb often trap detritus. my turnover rate is 30X per hour. worked well for me for over a year. i'm also skimmerless!!!!!!!!!

    when i first got my ro unit, i didn't realize the faster flowing one was waste water and was using it in my 180G because the guy that i got it from had the blue hose hooked up to the wrong outlet.

    sorry...it's Kent CTA 20GPD according to the manual the blue is good and brown is waste. Any Kent users out there - need help. I even follow the picture.

    I'm new to R/O unit's and was wondering which line is the waste water & good water. I was told the blue line is good and the brown bad but according to what I've read the ratio should be around 1 to 3.
